An association of retail members selling electronics and appliances wanted an analytics solution that would give their individual members insights into how they compare vs the group.
The CA team acquired sales data from different members and then de-identified, standardized and analyzed the data. Insights were presented through embedded Power BI reports in a web application, with appropriate privileges to view for different members. The analysis included the following:
• Product Mix Comparison: Individual product mix vs that of the collective membership.
• Brand Performance Insights: Brands gaining or losing market share for individual members and the collective group.
• Retail Pricing Analysis: Compares individual retail pricing with peers to assess competitive positioning.
The tool delivered valuable insights by comparing individual member performance against the group, enabling members to understand their market position better. It helped identify trends in product mix and brand performance, and provided competitive pricing analysis, ultimately supporting more informed business decisions and strategic adjustments.
